Guerrilla Knitting!

I love guerrilla knitting/knitted graffiti. We happened upon this while walking through the trendy Lower East Side neighborhood in New York. I started leaping around with glee, shouting excited gibberish, which kind of confused Mick. I thought I was seeing my first work from the Knitta, Please people, but it was some other awesome knitting artists.

Cabling Along

I learned a new stitch! And I added orange to take away the 80's pain of the teal (believe me it's more teal than the pictures appear).

I've finally found a pattern I could understand. I really do like just kind of inventing my own stuff, but after the fiasco that was my last project (maybe I'll show it to you some day), I really wanted to do something easy but a little different.

Green! Woot!

I'm really proud of myself for figuring out how to manipulate individual colors in Gimp. When I took these pictures the green looked too turquoise so I did a little fixin'.

Ok, I just can't stop myself. I really can't...and more than likely there will be another knit post tomorrow, because I finished another project today (it just needs buttons). If you are getting bored with my knit wear please let me know! Eventually though, I'll start putting up stuff for sale on etsy and you won't have to see these projects here. On my second ever knitting post, I exclaim my wonder that the ladies in my hometown think I should sell my knitting online (at the time I had only ever made 3 things).

My Honeymoon with Allie

Yay!!!! So after 6 months of living in Germany I'd gotten married, but I hadn't yet done any site seeing. So Allie came from Chicago and we were all over the place, and it was cold and it snowed (now it's supposed to be 50 the rest of the week now that she's gone...sad), but we had a great time. Come visit me!

I even attended a Lutheran Easter service in my town. Allie's a PK.

Wow, two whole posts in all of February.
What exactly have I been up to? Well, I learned how to crochet little flowers.I made this baby hat for a friend.

Plus I knitted 3 other hats, but can't post those yet. I live such an exciting life. I'm also thinking about getting enough together to open my own shop on etsy.com. I've also mentioned this to Mick's Aunt and she has already started knitting away....
And I decided to get married.
That's about it.

Yay! It took me a couple of weeks but I finally finished these! And now I have a callous on the tip of my thumb. These leg warmers might look cool, but the yarn I used is very coarse. Hardcore leg warmers...ohh yeah!
