And here is the wedding announcement I made up for my extended family....

Muammer and Linda
Announce their marriage at 1:30 in the afternoon on March 19th, 2008
At the courthouse in Fürth, Hessen Germany

Like all good fairytails this begins with....
“Once upon a time there was a man and a woman, who by coincidence were both living in the Odenwald, and little did they know they would soon meet. The man, who happened to have the same name as the groom, enjoyed hanging out with his friend Christoph in his free time.
So he lived his life, going to the Odenwald bars and festivals. Naturally the old Bistro in Rimbach was his bar of choice, and that is where he would meet his future bride (something he would have never believed). Her form was fair, she was a sweet lamb, but sadly she had to return to her native land in a few months. Naturally she has the same name as the bride.
The contact was lost and time went by and he started to think about finding someone with whom he could spend his life, but there was too much to discover, to experience. He wanted to see the world. Many nights later, while the man was in America, he remembered the pretty woman who was introduced to him in 2004 by his friend Christoph. He decided to extend his trip to visit her.
She was surprised, but excited by his unexpected visit, and showed him, more or less, her country.
He was fully astonished by the strange tingling he felt in his stomach. Could this be the butterflies in the stomach he had often heard about? She was cool to him, but underneath it all she was interested in the good looking, lovable man from Fürth. Perhaps she could teach him her American slang and she could learn the Odenwald dialect even better. The days went by and he had to return to Germany.
Despite the great distance the courting of the lovers was successful and the woman began to feel butterflies at the ring of the phone. They bought webcameras, to at least make them feel a little closer together. The months went by, the feelings of these two main characters of the fairy tale got even stronger and more intense. And the woman after much consideration and thought, packed up and moved to Fuerth.
Today the man and woman have much to tell and their fairy tale has come true.
