Fasching the German Mardi Gras
So I spent 2 hours last week at work not working. There was a parade about 15 feet from our front door! We opened up both doors and waved and were greeted with showers of candy. For some reason in my green apron I was able to procure a couple of flowers and extra candy. I think they felt sorry for us having to work.

guess which one is my favorite :)
Burito!
Do they give you flowers instead of beads at Fasching?
No bead and no flashing at Fasching...hehe. Just candy, costumes and beer. I went to a fasching parade in a town that manufactured ice cream and wine. They threw ice cream bars, and people walking poured cups of wine.
I suppose the draw back to beads is that they make EVERYONE flash. Very well, I approve this German way of celebrating.
